How is Loft insulation installed?
If access is easy and your joists are regular, you can use rolls of mineral wool insulation. The first layer is laid between the joists - the horizontal beams that make up the 'floor' of the loft – then another layer is cross-laid at right angles to cover the joists and make the insulation up to the required depth.
It’s simple to install and usually takes less than a few hours with little fuss or mess.
Why is this funded?
Due to obligations with the Government, Energy companies in the UK are providing insulation grants through various schemes in order to improve the energy efficiency of homes in the UK. Surveyours use installers that have access to the current scheme for Loft insulation allowing you to receive up to 100% Funding regardless of your age, income or location.
